Hydraulic capital and economic growth in Spain
Aldaz Ibáñez, Natalia; Millán, Joaquín A.
Comunicació presentada al Congress on Industrial and Agricultural Canals. Lleida, 2014 The relationships between basic hydraulic infrastructure and economic growth may be scale dependent; this means variable in strength and in time. We investigate the variable patterns of joint evolution of public hydraulic infrastructure and sector economic development in Spain during the 20th century by means of wavelets for exploratory data analysis. The next section surveys the problems of measuring (hydraulic) infrastructure and its impacts on the economy activity. Wavelets are introduced, without mathematics in section three. In section four the main results of the empirical analysis are summarized.
-Hydraulic investment
-Sector growth
-Wavelets
-Estructures hidràuliques -- Espanya
-Obres hidràuliques -- Espanya
