Pregunta clínica: ¿El método de Schroth mejora significativamente la calidad de vida en el
adulto con escoliosis en comparación con la terapia SIR?.
Objetivo: Valorar la efectividad del tratamiento con ejercicios de Schroth para la escoliosis en pacientes adultos con escoliosis.
Metodología: Se propone un estudio experimental del tipo ECA que se llevará a cabo durante dos años: uno de intervenciones de cada tratamiento y el otro formado por la parte de preparación del estudio al principio y la finalización del proyecto una vez se terminen los
tratamientos establecidos. Los participantes de la muestra serán adultos diagnosticados con
escoliosis idiopática divididos en dos grupos aleatoriamente. El grupo experimental recibirá
como tratamiento el método Schroth y el control será tratado con rehabilitación para la
escoliosis. Durante el estudio se realizarán valoraciones antes de empezar las intervenciones, al finalizar el primer mes, al pasar seis meses con terapia y cuando hayan cumplido el tratamiento.
Clinical question: Does the Schroth method improve quality of life in adults with scoliosis
compared to SIR?
Objective: To assess the effectiveness of Schroth therapy for scoliosis in adult patients with
scoliosis.
Methodology: It’s an experimental study of RCT type which is carried out for two years: one
of interventions of each treatment and the other including the preparation part of the study
at the beginning and the end of the project once the established treatments have been
completed. The sample participants will be adults diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis divides
randomly in two groups. The experimental group will receive the Schroth method as
treatment and the control will be treated with rehabilitation for scoliosis. During the study the
measurements of values will be done before starting the interventions, at the end of the first
month, after spending six months with therapy and when they have complied with the
treatment. |
