This project wants to simulate the cost of recruitment of the enterprise using integer linear programming. It's not easy to control expenses when, normally, the events are far away from the city where workers live. An example would be cover sporting events like the Champions League or Eurobasket. The displacement is expensive and it is usual to subcontract employees of outsourcing company that perform the international signal. When you are the signal producer you can sell your services to foreign TVs. This diversity of possibilities make difficult to make all the schedules. It is very difficult to find an optimal solution to this problem without applying optimization techniques. This is were integer linear programming can be of great help to solve it effectively and quickly. The objective, besides minimizing costs, is to know the hours of all workers (fixed staff and additional staff) a week before, knowing beforehand sporting events and then creating their timetable. |
