The present study is an exploratory research about a type of organization that is emerging and that will define the next business aradigm: hybrid corporations. Global trends are magnifying their most significant features by the convergence of traditional organizational sectors, changes in financial markets and global values, and the rise of business networks that are redefining success in business. The author puts forwards a conceptual framework that defines and evaluates hybrid corporations’ authenticity. As well as a theoretical model to understand how multiple forms of value are created and why they generate a positive impact. The research methodology combines two methods to test the two working hypotheses: survey and case study. The survey helps to test the
Hypothesis1 on what defines hybrid corporations: blended value maximization. The case study La Fageda, a successful company that employs disabled people as its core business, has helped gain insights into the application of the conceptual framework and to test the Hypothesis2 which explains
how hybrid organizations create multiple forms of value: materializing their transcendent missions through corporate designs |
