The final degree project which folows on these pages speaks about virtual laboratories. E-labs are a new tool designed in support for teaching which born as the result of mixing experimental practices, needed for the well understanding of theoretical principles, and the possibilities offered by new ICTs. All in all, we get a kind of laboratories which allows doing practices anywhere and at anytime using the Internet. The project tries to accomplish with two clear objectives. On the one hand, we try to expose in which conditions e-labs are nowadays, focusing on the e-labs net of de Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. On the other hand, we want to analyze the possibilities of applying these new tools in Air Navigation. To get this we begin with a detailed analysis of the properties that define virtual laboratories and their different components. This will allow as to make a list of their requirements and which advantages they can offer. After that we will study with detail the stat of the art of e-labs in general. The results obtained with this analysis, mixed with the elaboration of a possible practice program for Air Navigation, offer us the possibility of defining the properties that an e-lab should show and the way in which we could develop practices in this new lab. In this way we will demonstrate that, in fact, the possibilities which virtual labs offer can be applied in teaching Air Navigation and we will open some interesting ways of investigation. |
