Abstract:
|
ATELLITES and aircraft have traditionally been the primary source of remote sensing data. The increasing number of satellite constellations
and the improvement of the quality of airborne sensors have produced a great deal of imagery and high-precision geographic data. At present,
the miniaturization of electronics, computers, and sensors creates new opportunities for remote sensing applications. Small and/or unmanned
aircraft are promising technologies, especially for tactical reaction in emergency situations, such as forest fires, where a quick and efficient
response is critical to minimize damage. |
