"Remote Monitorization and supervision of airfields and heliports: Equipment and terminal systems" attempt to introduce, through three different levels, the minimum equipment needed to implement a remote control tower. The present project is developed because of the economic lost cause by little airports a heliports, considering that up to now their maintenance have not been profitable enough due to the lack of air traffic. To avoid the loss of this centers and at the same time reduce and optimize their costs, it is suggested (or we suggest) the idea of placing a remote control tower in the university center of Castelldefels (EETAC). The already mentioned tower should be in charge of centralizing (centralize US) the whole air traffic of Cataluña, with the exception of the big airports such as Barcelona, El Prat. This way, it would not be necessary neither to build a remote control tower in each of the centers nor to maintain air traffic controllers in different towers simultaneously, because the same job would be performed just from one location. To that end, the project is divided in three distinguish parts depending on the wished communication quality (as the project moves forward the quality and quantity of the data transmitted increases). At the same time, each one of the chapters is divided into two parts. Within them it can be found the needed equipment in the remote control tower and the elements that must be installed in the on the same flight Center in order to receive and transmit data so that afterwards could be analyzed. All the equipment entered during the project accomplishes the minimum requirements to successfully fulfil the communication between the center and the tower, even though, alternative equipment with the same technical characteristics can be select. |
