The project focuses on study the behaviour that will characterize Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm and the technology that will be used, to get connectivity. Firstly is necessary to do a bibliographic research to define the IoT environment. Identifying those tendencies that affects to the industrial or quotidian areas. Furthermore IoT will produce new market models and professional opportunities, as a consequence of information age. This project is going to detail. The next step will focus on realizing a forecast of the development of IoT at short time (2020). This forecast will evaluate the number of connected devices, the rate of data that will be on the global network and the revenue that it will generate. After that forecast it will be analysed the viability of the Cloud knowing the data rate that network will aspect. Aiming to propose alternative systems. Those systems might have to be safe, reliable and scalable. Guarantying the best efficiency on the Cloud and on the data proceed of Big Data. One of the main important things that this project will analyse is the impact of the electronic SIM (eSIM) to IoT standards. To do that it will define eSIM and how it works. Later it will analyse for and against that eSIM will be characterised. At the same time it also contemplates the opportunities and threats that eSIM will be for the telcos. On the other hand, it will be defined the low power connections, and think about if it will become an alternative or a complement on IoT paradigm. One important point to consider would be the security. The project also aims to evaluate the viability of the security and reliability solutions. Finally conclusions of the main points that this project analyses will be made and also general conclusions of the development on IoT model will be given. Taking a picture of the actual maturity state of the technologies of the future. |
