estudis addicionals |

In this thesis a 3D printed low cost robot is developed with the objective of being used as an
educational tool. The project report has been divided in six parts.
The first part is a general study considering the field of industrial robotics: History, robot
configurations, mechanical structure and controller components… The 3D printing methods have also
been studied. The next section covers the state of the art in educational robotics and the design of the
prototype, choice of the servomotors, the robot configuration and, the 3D printing method of the arm
is discussed.
With the design developed, the next step is assembly of the mechanical structure and the control
electronics. The following section is dedicated to programming the direct and inverse kinematics.
The last section discusses and attempts to improve the proposed system by redesigning it using
SolidWorks and analysis using Ansys. Finally the capacities of the prototype as educational tool are
checked. The report concludes that the proposed robotic solutions is an efficient and low cost system,
especially with the additional improvements. |
