Videogames industry is a thriving business. It has grown during the last decades, since the first games were created for computer users, and afterwards when video game consoles and platforms appeared. The evolution of 3D vision in the representation of the game world and characters boosted and marked a milestone to the successful of this industry. The project aims to test and check the possibilities of the BIOPAC's device purchased by the EETAC University. It will be explained the transducers provided with the aim to know which ones would be helpful to accomplish the objective to obtain a proper runtime results analyzing the possible physiological variations of a gamer. Body data sensors placed in the person to be tested and some procedures that will force this person to confess if he or she is feeling something different may be fear or happiness, for instance. The signals obtained and data captured from the testing person, will orient the project to a non-expected situation and some constraints will appear in terms on electronic devices and their resources that may not be capable to reach the first proposed goals. The body data which is acquired by the sensor and processed in the MP36 Unit from Biopac, will need to be converted in order to move on to the next stage, the integration procedure. From analog to digital, the data will be converted and transferred from one device to another where a computer is set as the final destination. The following chapter explains the integration between digitized incoming data from the previous stage to the developing software program Unity3D. There is also a thematic chapter which relates the project with neuroscience and neuromarketing. Finally, the last chapter will comment and analyze the results obtained and the possible future researches that may be done continuing with the Biopac system. |
