servir colorants reactius azo bifuncionals, Procion Navy H-EXL, Procion Crimson H-EXL i
Procion Yellow H_EXL.

This project has studied the discolouration and recuperation of the brine of different
dying baths and also of the first washing of cotton with reactive colourants in order to
reuse it in the dying process.
The physical method used to eliminate the colour was the application of membranes of
nanofiltration. Two different membranes were chosen. The HydraCoRe50 (HC50) and
the ESNA3, made by HYDRANAYTICS.
Before the nanofiltration of the effluent of real dyes treatment, given by the textile
factories Hidrocolors, S.A., and Texknit, S.A., a treatment of ultrafiltration with a
membrane of empty fibre was applied.
The results obtained were favourable to the discolouration for all the efluents given and
the percentages of recovering the salt were higher than what was expected initially.
Even though, the samples that presented the highest initial concentrations of NaCl made
the nanofiltration pocess difficult, and in some cases, they were unfeasible.
Several dyes were made with different reactive dyes using recovered baths by the
nanofiltration process (70% recovery bath, 30% water replacement). Bifunctional azo
reactive dyes were used, Procion Navy H-EXL, Procion Crimson H-EXL and Procion Yellow
H-EXL. Colour differences respecting to the reference dyes made with distilled water
showed correct values, of DECMC(2:1) ≤ 1. The observed colour differences are due mainly
to a lower intensity of dye with recovered baths because of a minor dye used up,
possibly thanks to the presence of organic products on the fabric. |
