This article is based on a reading of Hannah Höch’s 1920s photomontages from the point of view of violence and as a consequence of the traumatic experience of the First World War. The political crisis of the Weimar Republic and Berlin Dadaism are addressed through the ideas of Salomo Friedlaender, Bertold Brecht and Walter Benjamin, as well as aspects such as the grotesque, irony, and the work of art in the age of technological reproducibility, subjectivity and otherness. Germaine Krull’s photography, primitivism in dance, masks and the importance of ethnography are also evident in this reading of Höch Dadaism, together with a gender interpretation in which the figure of the woman is represented in a completely innovative way in terms of struggle and resistance, starting with the writings of Rosa Luxemburg. The concept of Atlas or Lebenscollage is treated as a conceptual work from the new readings of artists’ archives, highlighting their importance in 20th and 21st century art and inaugurating a new post-photography concept of contemporary artistic practices

Aquest article es basa en una lectura dels fotomuntatges de Hannah Höch dels anys vint del segle xx des del punt de vista de la violència i com a conseqüència de l’experiència traumàtica de la Primera Guerra Mundial. La crisi política de la República de Weimar i el Dadaisme berlinès són tractats a partir de les idees de Salomo Friedlaender, Bertold Brecht i Walter Benjamin, així com aspectes com el grotesc, la ironia, l’obra d’art en l’època de la reproductibilitat tècnica, la subjectivitat i l’alteritat. La fotografia de Germaine Krull, el primitivisme en la dansa, les màscares i la importància de l’etnografia, es posen de manifest també en aquesta lectura del dadaisme de Höch, juntament amb una interpretació de gènere en què la figura de la dona és representada d’una manera totalment innovadora en el seu significat de lluita i resistència també partint dels escrits de Rosa Luxemburg. El concepte d’Atles o Lebenscollage és tractat com una obra conceptual des de les noves lectures dels arxius d’artistes, tot posant de manifest la seva importància en l’art del segle xx i xxi i inaugurant un nou concepte de post-fotografia en les pràctiques artístiques contemporànies
