The work consists in the identification of core-problems of the business processes in an
analysis unit of the metal-mechanical Brazilian corporation USIMECA. The business
process modeling notation BPMN, of BPM methodology, and the Current Reality Tree, of
the Theory of Constrains TOC, are used to identify the problems.
First a preliminary literature overview of process modeling in the BPM discipline and of
the Theory of Constrains (TOC) from which the problem and objectives of the present
work can be defined is carried out. With the objectives set, the project continues with a
second comprehensive literature review of modeling business processes in BPMN and the
Current Reality Tree of the TOC. Having gathered all information needed for the
identification of problems, the application of all knowledge gathered to the warehouse of
the USIMECA proceeds. The process modeling with BPMN helps to document the
processes in the warehouse by obtaining information of them and by modeling them. While
the searching out of information is done, the quotidian problems are recognized. They are
the base knowledge to create the CRT. The inner-problems of the USIMECA’s warehouse
are obtained from the construction of the CRT.
Finally, the work is concluded identifying the core-problems of the warehouse processes
and reaching the specific objectives of the project. |
