El objetivo de este artículo es revisitar la ética del liderazgo educativo teniendo en cuenta la incertidumbre axiológica en la que se halla Occidente. La ética del liderazgo educativo fue propiciada, en buena medida, por el paso de un enfoque educativo centrado en la gestión a uno de tipo pedagógico, tal como promovía el informe de Estados Unidos A Nation at Risk (1983). En este artículo sostenemos que actualmente, a la hora de definir el liderazgo educativo, habría que tener en cuenta dos factores más. Por un lado, los cambios sociales y axiológicos que experimenta Occidente, entre los que subrayamos i) la pluralidad de valores, ii) la simultaneidad de agentes educativos y iii) la naturaleza provisional de los marcos de referencia. Por otro lado, el hecho de que el papel del liderazgo depende de las expectativas culturales de cada sociedad. Finalmente nos centramos en la importancia de la ética del cuidado para el desarrollo de un liderazgo más sólido en contextos de incertidumbre, entretejiendo algunas reflexiones de Meirieu, Toraine, Delors, Morin y Bauman. El artículo concluye ofreciendo una traducción más concreta de este marco teórico: tres virtudes indispensables y un trípode de inteligencias que deberían sustentar el liderazgo educativo –todo ello con el objetivo de promover la autonomía de los sujetos en vez de su adhesión a la institución educativa. |

The aim of this paper is to revisit the ethics of educational leadership taking into consideration the axiological uncertainty in which the West is nowadays nested. The ethics of educational leadership was partly opened up by the switch from a managerial to a rather pedagogical approach prompted by the report A Nation at Risk (1983). We suggest taking into consideration two more facts when deining educational leadership. On the one hand, the social and axiological changes being experimented in the West, among which we underline i) the plurality of values, ii) the simultaneity of educational agents, and iii) the provisional nature of referential frameworks. On the other hand, the fact that the role of leadership depends on the cultural expectations of each society. We then turn to the importance of the ethics of care for the development of a more solid leadership in contexts of uncertainty weaving together Merieu, Toraine, Delors, Morin, and Bauman. he paper concludes by ofering a more concrete translation of this theoretical framework: three indispensable virtues and a tripod of intelligences that ought to underpin educational leadership -all with the goal of promoting the autonomy of the subjects instead of their adhesion to the educational institution. |
