Este artículo presenta parte de los resultados obtenidos en el marco de un proyecto de investigación sobre la representación e interpretación de las civilizaciones y culturas en la televisión. Desde la mirada transversal del proceso de comunicación se analiza la cobertura y tratamiento informativo de la celebración de los Sanfermines en Pamplona, un acontecimiento cultural español de amplio seguimiento internacional. Tras detectar las variables de género y nacionalidad como claves de la representación de la otredad y el relato civilizatorio del yo, se contrasta la interpretación de la audiencia (focus group) con la opinión de expertos en diversas disciplinas (Delphi). |

This article presents some of the results obtained within the framework of a research project on the representation and interpretation of civilizations and cultures in television. From a cross-cutting view of the
communication process, we analyse the coverage and reporting of the celebration of the San Fermin Festival in Pamplona, a Spanish cultural event of large international following. After detecting the gender and nationality variables as keys to the representation of otherness and civilizational story of the self, we compare the interpretation of the audience (focus groups) with the opinion of experts in different disciplines (Delphi). |
