Windcrete is a new structural technology developed at the UPC BarcelonaTech (Barcelona, Spain) that pretends to introduce concrete floating platforms for offshore wind energy production in the market. Using this concept, in this thesis it is designed the spar platform of a Floatable Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT) that is going to be located off the coast of Tarragona. To carry out the structural design, two critical situations are considered. The first one takes place during the stevedoring operations when moving the structure from the quay to the sea. The second considers the FOWT in operation, assuming Severe Sea State (SSS) and wind speed at rated (maximum production of energy). Hence, an analysis of stresses must be done simultaneously for both situations, adjusting the design to satisfy the resistance conditions. The pre-stressed concrete structure has been designed for Serviceability Limit State (SLS). It also has been checked the resistance of the structure in Ultimate Limit Stress (ULS). Finally, a first estimation of the budget has been developed. It has permitted the determination of the items that have more influence in the project costs.

Windcrete es una nueva tecnología encuadrada en el ámbito de las estructuras. Esta está desarrollada en la UPC BarcelonaTech (Barcelona, España). Pretende introducir plataformas flotantes tipo spar en el mercado. A partir de este concepto, en esta tesis se diseña una plataforma spar que forma parte de una estructura offshore flotante. Esta plataforma se situará en la costa de Tarragona. Para llevar a cabo el diseño de la estructura, se consideran dos situaciones críticas. La primera se produce durante las operaciones de estiba, mediante las que la estructura es transportada de un muelle al mar. La segunda contempla la estructura flotante en operación, asumiendo Estado Severo del Mar y máxima producción. El diseño debe poder resistir las tensiones para ambas situaciones. Por esta razón, el diseño se realiza conjuntamente. La estructura, que será de hormigón pretensado, es diseñada para Estado Límite de Servicio (ELS). Además, se comprueba la resistencia de la estructura para Estado Límite Último (ELU). Por último, se incluye una primera estimación del presupuesto, el cual ha permitido reconocer aquellas unidades de obra que incrementan notoriamente el coste del proyecto.

Windcrete és una nova tecnologia dedicada a l’àmbit de les estructures. Està desenvolupada a la UPC BarcelonaTech (Barcelona, Espanya). Pretén introduir plataformes flotants tipus spar al mercat. A partir d’aquest concepte, en aquesta tesina es dissenya una plataforma spar que formarà part d’una estructura off-shore flotant. La citada plataforma se situarà a la costa de Tarragona. Per dur a terme el disseny de l’estructura, es consideren dues situacions critiques. La primera es produeix durant les operacions d’estiba, mitjançant les quals l’estructura és transportada al mar. La segona contempla l’estructura flotant en operació, assumint Estat Sever de la Mar i màxima producció. El disseny ha de poder resistir les tensions per ambdues situacions. Per aquest motiu, el disseny es realitza conjuntament. L’estructura, que serà de formigó pretesat, està dissenyada per Estat Límit de Servei (ELS). Es comprova, també, la resistència de l’estructura per Estat Límit Últim (ELU). Per últim, s’inclou una primera estimació del pressupost, el qual ha permès la localització d’aquelles unitats d’obra que incrementen notablement el cost del projecte.
