Abstract:

Debris flows and other torrential processes represent a significant geomorphological hazard in mountainous regions. This research focuses on the triggering mechanisms and flow dynamic. The multidisciplinary approach includes in-situ monitoring, field observations and numerical modelling. Finally, the results should help to improve the design of an adequate hazard mitigation due to structural and non-structural measures. |
