The water of the Montseny springs is shown as the protagonist of historical, practical and cultural uses, water as the origin of legends and myths, its use as an economic resource for the bottling industry, and the natural legacy of water through its sources. The research carries out a detailed study of the existing sources, from a theoretical point of view from the bibliographic references, and from a practical one with an in-situ visit to fill in a descriptive sheet on the exact location of the source and the characteristics historical, cultural and natural, highlighting the stories associated with each of the sources. The social perspective of the springs of natural water is claimed and it is tried to recover what has been called the culture of the source: traditions, customs and habits that are carried out with the springs and the water as protagonists. |
