[ANGLÈS] In the present report, the disease of Diabetes Mellitus type 1, and the treatment with pumps of continuous infusion of insulin for the control of diabetes will be analyzed; with the main objective to propose an interesting alternative to the treatment with insulin pump, by carrying out a more efficient and intuitive redesign of this device, considering aspects such as functionality, aesthetics, reliability, maintenance, user-product interaction and the life cycle Useful product.
It should be noted that as a student of the Engineering Degree in Industrial Design and Product Development, the project has focused only on the redesign of an insulin pump, analyzing aspects such as graphic engineering, formal and functional proposal, aesthetic aspects and communication product.
The result obtained in this project is optimal and satisfactory, since today, DIICSI, (Intelligent Device of Continuous Subcutaneous Infusion of Insulin) it is an innovative and different alternative, due to the concept itself of the product and thanks to the use of the new Information and Communication Technologies; which pursues the objective of improving the health and quality of life of the patient, offering greater freedom, control, safety and flexibility to the patient.
After do this work and from my point of view, the future of insulin pumps is the research and development of scientific advances, in biomedicine, in Nano-engineering, in new technologies and in the use of biomaterials, mixed with the use of gadgets and implantable sensors in the skin of the human being. |
