In this project, an empowerment plan of a Village is established and developed. Specifically, there is a broad business management of the lemongrass oil distillation unit located in Valaramkunnu, a village in de district Wayanad, in the region of Kerala, in India. For this purpose, a plan is made based on the research done in the Village. The plan is composed by an initial part where a research of the state of art and projects carried out previously related to the Village. After the research, is detected the persona for being a worker of the factory, the women are going to be trained to developing all the activity related of the lemongrass oil distillation factory. Is concluded to create a social enterprise to include all the planned activities. On one hand, the research of information about the village is used to adapt the activity and the empowerment to the villagers as well as to detect all the deficiencies that the Village has. On the other hand, the possible points of improvement of the factory are determined. It is necessary that the proposal be sustained. For this reason, the business model of the social enterprise must be developed and detailed. It is used the social business model canvas to show all the ideas, and later could be developed and explained. Subsequently, a series of proposals are listed to improve the continuous production. These are classified according to priority, if they apply is significant or not, and for the return of the investment. All the actions required have to be sustainable and according to the villagers capacities and needs. This work shows the project done specifically for them. Finally, it is concluded that, to ensure that it becomes a real application of empowerment of Valaramkunnu, it is advisable to execute the proposals and apply a continuous motivation to ensure the socioeconomic increase. Obviously, the well execution of that project can be exemplified and the social enterprise can be an appropriate solution to other tribal villages in India. |
