[ANGLÈS] The main goal of this project is to design and evaluate the feasibility of a solar system providing electricity to an isolated single-family house. The house should be energetically sustainable and provide the right comfort level based on the demand of a family of three. This system will provide the house with energy for both air conditioning (AC) and water heater (WH). The system will also provide energy to the rest of the electrical loads in the house. In order to achieve this goal, the power and total consumption required by the house will be determined based on the thermal and electrical loads, the AC and the WH. Then, the photovoltaic system is designed to fulfill all the household needs. The house should be energetically sustainable and selfsufficient, but the solar system will be connected to the power grid as an emergency backup. Finally, the conclusions are drawn, in which the viability of the solar system is confirmed given that its amortization is seven years and it is within the already established range of five to eight years. |
