This work has as starting point the air plants that the Boreen brand sells with its design supports. It is a young company created more than a year ago by Helena and Kevin and is characterized by designing and manufacturing all of its products handcrafted. Keeping this in mind, we have looked for ways to add some improvement to the designs, which would give the product an additional functionality and still being decorative. Analyzing the options, we found the possibility of manufacturing them with photocatalytic cement instead of the regular one. This new photocatalytic cement purifies the air surrounding it. Thanks to this improvement we would have a final product consisting of: An air plant (tillandsia), which as a living plant generates O2 and absorbs the negative radiation of electronic devices; and a base, made of the new cement or concrete, that purifies the air. This new product opens the door to a new type of buyers. We will do a business and marketing study to discover de possibilities implying this new type of customers. In the second phase of the work, we study the most relevant aspects of the company itself and the context in which it is located, as well as the legal aspects that concern it. The last phase of the work, and probably the most important, has been the interpretation of all the information obtained during the research. The study has determined that the introduction into the market of these tillandsia plants, thanks to the implementation of photocatalytic technology, is viable and will be a commercial success |
