The project described in the present document is a total development of an automatization
process of a cap applicator, based on a simulated environment.
The bottles are introduced constantly separated by one meter from each other in a conveyor
belt that is moving with a constant velocity. A cap is applied by a cam that makes a rotatory
movement, where the cap is taken when it is in upwards, and dropped when it is downwards.
The synchronization in position of the axis of the motors that move the conveyor belt and the
cam makes possible the correct development of the application. This is carry out by the use of
real hardware and the simulation in real time of a specific model created for the application, in
addition to a Human-Machine Interface that makes possible the control of the entire process
to the user. Besides the mentioned points, the cam is modelled according to the different forces
applied over it, where the initial hardware has been changed to adjust it according the new
specifications required. |
