La Edad Media en nuestro presente

Abstract

El estudio del periodo medieval remite a indagar en el origen de muchos signos de identidad de la sociedad actual, así como avanzar en los procedimientos y valores de la ciencia histórica. En la tarea, el investigador debe superar las dificultades en torno a la capacidad epistemológica, hermenéutica y heurística y el docente debe ser capaz de organizar el propio discurso y alcanzar las vías de motivación del alumnado. En todos los casos, el recorrido está constantemente acompañado por una visión popularizada y diversa de la Edad Media.

The study of the Medieval period demands that we look into the origin of many signs and symbols of identity in our present society, as well as advancing in the procedures and values of the historical science. In this task the researcher has to overcome the difficulties which are related to the epistemological, hermeneutic and heuristic capacities and the educator must be able to organise his discourse and find the way of motivating the students. In all the cases, the journey is constantly accompanied by a popularised and diverse vision of the Middle Ages.
