Pla d'Urgell, identitat i projecte

Abstract

La reivindicació popular assumida pels ajuntaments de la comarca fou decisiva per a la creació de la nova comarca del Pla d’Urgell. La comarca administrativa creada no acaba ni esgota el sentiment i la identitat comarcals, que canvien i s’adapten a l’evolució del collectiu social. Aquesta identitat i reconeixement continuen essent, per altra part, un referent de primera importància per al progrés de les iniciatives privades i col·lectives, per a l’endreça del territori i per a la satisfacció dels propis habitants. Per això es proposa un reconeixement de la riquesa i varietat de signes i elements que marquen la identitat comarcal, contrastat amb un exercici col·lectiu.

The adoption of the popular claiming by Pla d’Urgell’s town councils was a decisive move towards the creation of the Pla d’Urgell county. Being a differenciated administrative area has not extinguished the county feeling and identity, which change and adapt themselves to the community evolution. Furthermore, this identity and its legitimation are still one of the most important benchmarks regarding private and popular initiative aimed to the region’s organisation and to its population’s satisfaction. This paper suggests a recognition of the wealth and the diversity of signs and elements which outline the county identity, contrasted with a collective study.
