Jóvenes que investigan en educación secundaria: alternativas para aprender

Abstract

En este artículo, damos cuenta de cómo cinco grupos de jóvenes (estudiantes de secundaria de distintos centros educativos de Cataluña) realizaron investigaciones etnográficas de forma colaborativa acompañados por investigadores de la universidad. Su objetivo era explorar cómo y mediante qué alfabetismos ellos se comunican y aprenden dentro y fuera del centro educativo. Durante este proceso, se formaron como investigadores (aprendieron a tomar notas de campo, realizaron observaciones dentro y fuera del centro, se entrevistaron, crearon relatos, documentaron visualmente...) y finalmente presentaron su informe de investigación públicamente primero en el centro y después en la universidad ante el resto de los grupos. En este marco, el foco de este artículo se centra en el proceso de investigación y de formación de los jóvenes, en cómo el informe surgió de su autoría, en las relaciones vivenciadas y en lo que aprendimos todos los que participamos en la investigación.

In this paper, we report how five youth groups (high school students of different schools in Catalonia) carried out collaborative ethnographic researches, alongside with university researchers. Its aim was to explore how and by what literacies youth communicate and learn inside and outside secondary schools. During this process, they were trained as researchers (they learned to take field notes, made observations inside and outside the school, interviewed themselves, created stories, documented visually...) and, at the end, they presented their research report in public: at the school and at the university in front of the rest of groups. From this framework, the approach of this article focuses on the research and training process of young people, on how the report from the research arose of their authorship, the relationships experienced, and finally what we, youth and academic, learned through this research process.
