Abstract

Peer-reviewed

In recent years, the distribution of large scale multimedia contents has become easier and more efficient than ever before. The unauthorized distribution of copyright-protected content has emerged as a major concern. A buyer of a multimedia content does not want to reveal his/her identity whereas the seller or owner of the content does not want the buyer to further distribute the content illegally. Accordingly, this paper presents a secure and privacy-aware multimedia content distribution mechanism based on Tardos Codes for Peer-to-Peer networks. Our proposed system offers copyright protection by means of a traitor-tracing capability, collusion-resistance, content owner and buyer¿s security with mutual anonymity during secure data exchange.
