La reflexión sobre los talk shows que se realiza en este artículo tiene como objeto definir las características de uno de los géneros más representativos del papel de interface entre el individuo y las instituciones que desempeña la televisión actual; un papel que ha terminado por convertir la recepción televisiva en una verdadera actividad ritual de los mitos que gobiernan la relación del yo con los otros. La autora realiza un breve recorrido por la historia del género en Estados Unidos y en España, dirigido a determinar los factores que han convertido el acto de la recepción en una pragmática.
The reflection on talk shows made in this article attempts to define the characteristics of one of the most representative genres of the interface role between individuals and the institutions undertaken by today's television: a role which has ended up turning television reception into a ritual activity of the myths which rule the relations of ourselves with others. The author carries out a brief run through this genre's history in the United States and Spain, guided to determine the factors which have turned the act of reception into pragmatism.
