Heidegger y el siglo XX

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza el denso clima intelectual y el complejo cuadro político en el que se enmarca el pensamiento de Heidegger, especialmente su obra más relevante, Ser y tiempo. La principal aportación de este libro, que se hace eco de la ebullición cultural de los años veinte y de un régimen político dominado por la República de Weimar, consiste en la capacidad de pensar el cambio de mentalidad que se estaba produciendo en ese momento en Europa. Esa necesidad de pensar el destino de su tiempo convierte a Heidegger en uno de los principales referentes filosóficos del siglo XX y, quizás también, de este nuevo siglo XXI.

The present article analyzes the deep intellectual atmosphere and the complex political situation that influences in Heidegger's thought, especially in his most relevant work, Being and Time. The most important contribution of this book, which reflects the cultural mainstreams of the 20's and the political background of the Weimar Republic, consists in the capacity to think about the changes in the European mentality of that moment. Precisely this need to think about the destiny of his time explains why Heidegger is considered one of the principal philosphical referents of the XXth century and, probably, of the beginning of this new XXth century.
