Distribución espacial y diferenciación de actividad en el área norte del montículo formativo La Barca

Abstract

La sociedad Wankarani es uno de los complejos Formativos de los Andes centro- sur que todavía plantea varias interrogantes acerca de su organización y sus procesos sociales, económicos y políticos, en contraposición al Formativo del área de la cuenca del Titicaca, donde se han realizado varias investigaciones. Concretamente se explica la distribución de estructuras dentro del área norte del montículo La Barca y se infiere en la actividad que estas habrían cumplido, dicha área sería tomada como un ejemplo del modelo explicativo para aldeas tempranas, propuesto por Bermann en el año 1995 conocido como grupo de conjuntos habitacionales.

Wankari society is one of the Formative groups in the center-southern region of the Andes which still raises questions about its organization and their social, economic and political processes, mostly if we compare it with the Formative nearby the Titicaca lake, where more studies have been carried on. Here we will try to explain the household structures distribution within the northern area of the La Barca mound and identify its social function; this area would be taken as an example for the explicative model for the rising of early villages, proposed by Bermann in 1995 and known as group of dwelling wholes.
