En el presente trabajo se pretende comparar la información que en relación a determinados centros urbanos ofrecen dos sobresalientes documentos del contexto histórico de mediados del s. IV d.C. como son la Tabula Peutingeriana y el Codex Theodosianus, habida cuenta de que existe una falta de correspondencia entre la representación gráfica de dichos centros en el primero y su protagonismo como lugares de emisión de constituciones imperiales en el segundo.

In this work we try to compare the information alluding to specific towns in the Tabula Peutingeriana and the Codex Theodosianus, two important documentary sources for the historical context of mid-fourth century A.D. In fact, there is no connection between the graphic representation of the aforesaid towns in the first source and their role as places where imperial constitutions were published in the second one.
