El boom de l'esport : ideologia i societat a l'esport targarí (1920-1937)

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta un primer análisis que valora el impacto social y cultural que protagonizó el boom del asociacionismo deportivo en Tàrrega en el período de 1920 a 1937. Se describe el origen de las entidades líderes y de los deportes más exitosos. Al mismo tiempo se trata el legado institucional y el discurso ideológico que contribuyó a Cataluña a la identificación social del deporte de raíz popular. Se incluye también una nómina de las primeras asociaciones deportivas targarinas.

This work is presented as a first analysis that evaluates the social and cultural impact of the boom in sporting asssociations in Tàrrega in the period from 1920 to 1937. The origins of the leading entities and most successful sports are described. The institutional legacy and the ideological discourse in Catalonia that contributed to a social identification of sport from popular roots are also dealt with. It also contains a list of the earliest sports associations in Tàrrega.
