El uso militar del carro en Mesopotamia durante el Dinástico Antiguo

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo identificar el rol que desempeñaron los carros de cuatro ruedas durante el Dinástico Antiguo. Para ello, analizaremos los restos arqueológicos e iconográficos más relevantes, plantearemos el debate historiográfico generado sobre el uso militar del carro y, finalmente, contrastaremos dichas hipótesis con los datos proporcionados por el proyecto de reconstrucción de un carro sumerio que Duncan Noble llevó a cabo entre 1972 y 1975.

This article aims to identify the role played by battle-cars during the Early Dynastic. We will analyse the archaeological and iconographic remains where the wagon appears, raise the historiographical discussion generated on its military use, and finally, compare these hypotheses with data provided by the rebuilding of battle wagon created between 1972 and 1975 by Duncan Noble.
