Identidad colectiva y ciudadanía europea

Abstract

Starting from the perspective of the theory of collective action, this paper aims to offer an analytical frame enabling to understand the designing process of an inclusive "European" identity. The context of this process in made, on the one hand, of migration receiving socioeties where the diverse interests of their members coexist; and, on the other hand, of the polítical and academic revision of citizen.. ship. Far away from their identification with nation..states, the building of a new identity for the EU citizens has to pay attention to the presence of people coming from countries with diverse cultural and religious traditions and sociopolitical practices.

El objetivo de este artículo es proporcionan, desde la teoría de la acción colec.. tiva, un marco de análisis que permita entender el proceso de diseño de una identidad "europea" en la UE, de naturaleza incluyente, en el contexto de, por un lado, sociedades receptoras deflujos migratorios de distintas partes del mundo en las que coexisten los intereses diversos de todos sus miembros y, por el otro, en plena revisión, tanto académica como política, de la ciudadanía. La modelación de una nueva identidad para los ciudadanos que forman la Unión Europea, más allá y por encima de su identificación como ciudadanos de un estado..nacion, debe tener en cuenta la presencia en su territorio de personas procedentes de países con tradicio.. nes culturales, religiones y prácticas sociales y políticas distintas.
