¿Chiste sexista o sexismo en el chiste?

Abstract

El humor y sus múltiples producciones discursivas son elaborados, descodificados y entendidos a partir de un complejo sistema de representaciones sociales sobre las que operan los estereotipos, prejuicios, discriminación de género, raza, religión, origen etc. En esas (re-)producciones se inveteran mediante los consensuados discursos valores y creencias colectivas. Encontramos que en la vida cotidiana, apelando al humor y con la anuencia social de la informalidad de género, se promueven escenarios de discriminación sobre ciertos colectivos sociales con recurrentes prácticas lingüísticas violentas y vejatorias. La metodología seguida para este trabajo se centra en el análisis del discurso y en la identificación de varios repertorios interpretativos bajo los que los sujetos perfilan, articulan y estructuran su construcción de la realidad social mediante la práctica discursiva.

Humour and its multiple discursive productions are elaborated, decoded an understood from a complex system of social representations on which stereotypes, prejudices and gender, race, religion and origin discrimination operate. In those (re-)productions, shared values and beliefs are maintained through agreed discourses. We find that in everyday life appealing to humour and the presence of the social consent of the informality gender, scenarios of discrimination are promoted against certain social groups with recurrent violent linguistic practices. The methodology followed for this paper focuses on the analysis of discourse and the identification of various interpretative repertories under which subjects shape, articulate and structure their construction of social reality through the discursive practice of humour.
