New species of the genus Mesocoelopus Jacquelin du Val, 1860, and new records of the genus Mesothes Mulsant & Rey, 1864, of the South and Tropical Africa (Anobiidae: Mesocoelopodinae)

Continuing the review of the collection of Anobiidae of the Transvaal Museum of Pretoria, four new species of the genus Mesocoelopus Jacquelin du Val, 1860 are described: M. espanyoli sp. n. from Equatorial Guinea, M. morenoi sp. n. from Kenya, M. bundongo sp. n. and M. muellerae sp. n. from South Africa. It is discussed the validity of the genus Microcoelopus Toskina, 1998, syn. n. of the genus Mesocoelopus Jacquelin du Val, 1860, and the species that compose it. It is commented and extended the distribution of other species of the genus Mesocoelopus, as well as of Mesothes zululandensis Español & Viñolas, 1995, from South Africa.
