Maiestas Mariae : Imatges de les marededéus medievals de l'Arquebisbat de Tarragona

Abstract

L'interès principal d'aquest projecte és fer una reflexió sobre la representació mariana en una àrea concreta, l'Arquebisbat de Tarragona, tant des del vessant ideològic com artístic i simbòlic, i intentar de trobar-hi noves aportacions. Però, a més, hi ha l'interès social que sigui una eina útil per a totes les persones a les quals, sense pertànyer laboralment al món de l'art o l'educació, els agrada conèixer el patrimoni artístic quan visiten un poble o una ciutat.

El interés principal de este proyecto es realizar una reflexión de la representación mariana en un área concreta, el Arzobispado de Tarragona, tanto desde su vertiente ideológica como artística y simbólica, e intentar encontrar nuevas aportaciones. Pero, además, existe el interés social de que sea una herramienta para todas las personas a las que, sin pertenecer laboralmente al mundo del arte o la educación, les gusta conocer el patrimonio artístico cuando visitan un pueblo o una ciudad.

The principal interest of this project is to reflect on the representation of the Virgin Mary in a specific area, such as the Archbishopric of Tarragona, from both the ideological and the artistic and symbolic point of view, attempting to offer new contributions. I also have a more social interest in it, which is for it to be a useful tool for anyone who, not belonging professionally to the fields of art or education, would like to discover the artistic heritage when they visit a town or city.
