So far no method has been developed to evaluate the perfomance of new venture as dependent variable from the business model implicit in the business plan. In this report, I present a proposal of how this method should be. First, to evaluate the business model inside the business plan, it has been necessary to identify and cluster all the elements that interfere in the business model (according to literature). As a result, eight clusters were defined. As a second step, content analysis with a coding system, human coders and intercoder analysis seems to be the most appropriate methodolgy to analyze the comprehensiveness of these eight clusters within the business plans. Finally performance indicators in start-ups have been contrasted with venture capitalists, to define the most appropriate for our sample.
