Abstract

At the present time, 2D depletion codes are the state of the art. KENOREST has been specially developed by the company Gesellschaft für Anlagen- un Reaktorsicherheit as a 2D and 3D depletion code. Although 3D depletion codes have more capabilities than 2D ones, they are not yet fully benchmarked. The main goal of this work is demonstration of the capabilities in a 3D-model of KENOREST. MAIN POINTS: - Validation of KENOREST by recalculating the inventory evolution of fuel samples from Japanese reactor Takahama-3. - Study of the fuel in a PWR core under standard conditions of irradiation in a 3D-model.
