dc.description.abstract
This document contains the Bachelor's Degree Thesis in Mathematics done at Rollomatic during an internship from February to June 2014. The project's objective is to plot the 3D representation of the grinding tools that Rollomatic machines grind using Functional Representation, since their previous software had a third party license and could be improved in many ways. Some of the themes that are treated in this thesis are the use of Rvachev Functions in Solid Modelling, projection techniques to find the points that lay in the surface of a volume defined by implicit functions and Boolean operations and retrieving sharp features from already built meshes.
