dc.description.abstract
The work is based on the research on two-phase flows in pressurized pipes with non-Newtonian fluids. Experiments are carried out in a pipe loop at the Water Engineering Laboratory (WEL) of the Czech Technical University (CTU). One of the features describing the flow behaviour is a distribution of solid particles in the flowing liquid. The measuring technique of Electrical Resistance Tomography (ERT) is used to obtain maps of distribution of solids in a pipe cross section. One of the challenges associated with ERT is processing of raw images and their interpretation.
