Simulation tools are robust applications that provide relevant information about the current and future state of an electrical network. Beneath these simulation tools, there are different types of modeling techniques that provide different features to various software. In this thesis, an automation tool has been validated by comparing the results of PSSE and PSCAD. Moreover, for doing this, PSSE for PM and PSCAD for EMT have been used. An automation tool has been built in Python that extracts data from PSSE and sends it to PSCAD. Furthermore, with the identical data that has been sent, some simulations have been performed. It is observed that even though having the same data, there is a difference in the power flow solution. As a result, several discrepancies occurred in the dynamic simulation which is expected due to the different calculation techniques. Finally, multiple scenarios have been studied to prove that the tool is working. Moreover, the results have shown that the difference between signals is very small, and the behavior of the signals is almost the same that indicating the tool has been validated
