dc.description.abstract
In recent years, autonomous vehicles have witnessed significant progress, largely attributed to the remarkable advancements in photonics sensors. As we move closer to achieving fully autonomous driving, data collection vehicles represent a crucial initial step. These vehicles play a pivotal role in gathering essential information to construct datasets and training Artificial Intelligence models, which contribute to the development and refinement of autonomous driving technologies. The technological innovation center CD6 is currently building such a vehicle that requires sensor selection, hardware drivers integration, and ROS environment development. This work proposes a multimodal software and hardware architecture for a data collection vehicle and presents the integration in a mock-up structure.
