Electronic models and urban dynamic analysis
Cities are growing in size and complexity with a huge energy waste and a progressive damage to life quality. An interesting alternative for the analysis of the continuously evolving urban variables that could lead to novel city management solutions is Urban Dynamic Analysis, a multidisciplinary holistic approach that inquires into temporal relations among structures and related features in cities. A range of simulation tools are being adapted and developed aiming to assess different morphological configurations behavior of urban areas, to improve citizens welfare as well as to optimize energy consumption. Among these tools, special mention is due of electronic models.
