This paper describes the real-time all-digital implementation of a FDMA/TDMA Slow Frcquency Hopping-Trellis Coded 8DPSK modem for operation in narrow band indoor mobile radio environments. The modem architecture as well as sorne of the signa! processing techniques employed in the modero to counteract the indoor modile radio channel impairrnents, principally multipath Rayleigh fading, are described.
