The Act of Killing, uma autoria partilhada

La tesis investiga los posibles vínculos estéticos y temáticos entre el polémico documental de Joshua Oppenheimer The Act of Killing y dos de sus productores ejecutivos, los cineastas conocidos Werner Herzog y Errol Morris. Los temas clave son: la elección de personajes controvertidos, el uso de la reescenificación, el cinema verité, la recepción crítica y el uso de la ironía para defender la hipótesis de que el famoso dúo no tiene un interés al azar en la película, por el contrario, se ven a sí mismos en la dirección del joven sucesor Oppenheimer .

This dissertation investigates the possible aesthetic and thematic relations between the polemic documentary by director Joshua Oppenheimer The Act of Killing, and the opinions of the executive producers, known filmmakers Werner Herzog and Errol Morris. Some of key themes approached are: the choice for controversial subjects, the use of reenactment, cinema verité, the critics reception and the use of irony to defend the hypothesis that the famous duo do not have a random interest in the film, on the contrary, they find themselves represented in the film of the young successor Oppenheimer.
