Intervenció d'estimulació sensorial en infants i adolescents amb TEA i discapacitat intelectual greu o severa: un estudi de cas

Abstract

El present estudi enfoca una intervenció basada en l’estimulació sensorial dirigida a infants i adolescents amb Trastorn de l’Espectre Autista i Discapacitat Intel·lectual Greu o Severa. Es planteja una avaluació a partir del Perfil Sensorial (Santamarina, 2018) i el Registro Escala de Disconfort Modificada (Gedye, 1998) com a suport de les observacions durant el procés d’intervenció. Els resultats obtinguts en aquest estudi recolzen els resultats trobats en la literatura, és a dir, corrobora els aspectes positius de l’estimulació sensorial com a part del tractament terapèutic per disminuir conductes disruptives

The present study is focused on an intervention based on sensory stimulation aimed at child and teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Moderate or Severe Intellectual Disability. The study sets out an evaluation based on the questionnaire Perfil Sensorial (Santamarina, 2018) and the test Registro Escala de Disconfort Modificada (Gedye, 1998) as a support of the observation and analysis during the intervention process. The results confirms that this study corroborate the findings in the literature, meaning that the positive aspects of the sensory stimulation can be part of the therapeutic treatment to get a significant reduction of the disruptive behaviour.
