Fàbrica d'esports : nou parc esportiu al polígon industrial Torroella-Nestlé

Abstract

Aquest projecte proposa una transformació estratègica del Polígon Industrial Torroella Nestlé per convertir-lo en un espai més verd, més humà i millor connectat amb el seu entorn. L’actuació combina intervencions paisatgístiques i urbanes per integrar natura, esport i ciutat, en una àrea actualment degradada però amb un gran potencial. El projecte busca intervenir en una àrea altament degradada però amb una alta potencialitat de connectivitat, tant urbana com natural. El projecte parteix de la coexistència de dos escenaris fortament contrastats: d’una banda, el polígon industrial Torroella-Nestlé, i de l’altra, el paisatge natural de les ribes del riu Ter en un entorn periurbà. La proposta es materialitza a través d’un nou equipament esportiu que afronta múltiples desafiaments. Per una banda, consolida i densifica l’espai amb activitats esportives en una zona amb aquesta vocació latent, i per l’altra, esdevé una fita urbana capaç de revitalitzar i redefinir un espai degradat. Alhora, desplaça la centralitat d’un circuit esportiu dispers i sense una configuració clara, al mateix temps que renaturalitza les vores del Ter i les transforma en un gran parc. Una de les peces clau del projecte és la construcció d’una passera sota l’AP 7, que permet creuar el riu Ter i completar un recorregut continu entre Girona, Salt, Sant Gregori i Domeny, integrant-se dins la xarxa verda metropolitana. D’aquesta manera, el polígon deixa de ser una frontera urbana per esdevenir un node actiu de salut i natura, capaç d’articular el territori, connectar municipis i generar una nova centralitat pública i esportiva a l’àrea periurbana de Girona.

This project proposes a strategic transformation of the Torroella-Nestlé Industrial Park to create a greener, more human-centered, and better-connected space within its surroundings. The intervention combines landscape and urban design to integrate nature, sport, and the city in an area that is currently degraded but holds great potential. The project targets a highly degraded area with strong potential for both urban and natural connectivity. It is based on the coexistence of two contrasting environments: on one side, the Torroella-Nestlé industrial park, and on the other, the natural landscape of the banks of the Ter River in a peri-urban setting. The proposal materializes through a new sports facility that addresses multiple challenges. On one hand, it consolidates and densifies the space with sporting activities in an area with latent potential, and on the other, it becomes an urban landmark capable of revitalizing and redefining a degraded space. At the same time, it shifts the focus of a dispersed and loosely organized sports circuit while renaturalizing the banks of the Ter River and transforming them into a large park. A key element of the project is the construction of a footbridge under the AP-7 highway, allowing crossing over the Ter River and completing a continuous route between Girona, Salt, Sant Gregori, and Domeny, integrating into the metropolitan green network. In this way, the industrial park ceases to be an urban boundary and becomes an active hub of health and nature, capable of structuring the territory, connecting municipalities, and generating a new public and sports centrality in the peri-urban area of Girona.
