Abstract

This dissertation describes the process of the development of a chat application for developers, from a mere idea to a working cloud service. The author has built a real time platform that makes it easy to have a group con- versation between a projects’ members, share code and stay up to date with their latest repository updates. It has given him a better understanding of AJAX and WebSockets, SPA libraries (React), NoSQL databases (MongoDB and Redis), REST JSON APIs with Node, Docker, and more.
