Reconstrucción del paisaje fronterizo en el norte de Lleida en la fase de la conquista cristiana

Abstract

Se presenta la investigación de una región fronteriza del extremo nororiental de al-Andalus en la Marca Superior, donde se localizan los asentamientos musulmanes más importantes y se constata el interés que esta zona despierta en los señores feudales. Además se reconstruye, a través de una descripción de los conquistadores de principios del siglo XI, la demarcación del término conquistado al hisn de Santa Linya y se analiza su transformación en el marco de la dinámica territorial posterior a la conquista feudal. Este cambio consistió, básicamente, en la fundación de nuevos asentamientos dentro del área del hisn descrita por los cristianos.

This article presents recent research of a frontier region in the north-eastern limit of al-Andalus in the Upper March, where the most important Muslim settlements were located. It moreover endorses the interest that this area incited in the feudal lords. Furthermore, it aims to reconstruct, through a description of the conquerors at the beginning of the eleventh century, the demarcation of the boundary of conquest to the hisn (castle) of Santa Linya, analysing its transformation in the context of the territorial dynamics subsequent to the feudal conquest. This change consisted chiefly in the foundation of new settlements in the area of the hisn charted by the Christians.
